Episode
120 - 11 seconds of random, unnecessary touching
Episode 121 - 30 seconds of random, unnecessary
touching
In total, that makes 41 seconds of random unnecessary
touching
That's
6 seconds more than they spent touching in
the Yamabuki arc
Which
means OMG their love has GROWN!

|
|
Now
that makes it a total of THREE characters (not
including the ichidiots) that have shed tears- Ootori (ony
in the manga), Dan, and Eiji (only in the anime) |

Character
Analysis Time- Genki!Eiji vs Insecure!Eiji
I've
noticed that he seems to swing between almost insufferable happiness
and insecurity that more often than not leads to tantrums (and
almost always is about his own performance in relation to Oishi's.)
Initially he responded to his own weaknesses quite well (ie,
'reflection time' on the bin) but now that more is at stake
I think he suffers quite a bit worrying he's not up to par with
his partner (exhaustion, bad habits- it's always Eiji's fault,
isn't it?)
Also, if anyone is familiar with the Myers-Briggs personality
scale, I've always thought that Eiji was an Intravert
as opposed to an Extravert (Oishi). Intraversion
is not so much about social skills, it's about where you get
your energy from. Intraverts get energy from within, and often
require a break from social situations to have time to reflect
and think (reflection on the bin!) I also
think that he is a Thinker as opposed to a
Feeler (Oishi). Feelers respond emotionally
to stimulus (which explains Oishi's bitchslapping
episode and his mother hen tendancies) whereas Thinkers
detatch themselves emotionally from stimulus and respond to
it logically (which explains why Eiji was able
to manipulate Kaidoh, a Feeler, around ep 71). They are
more often than not uncomfortable feeling strong emotion, which
explains Eiji's tantrum on court- he is not practised dealing
with such insecurity. It also explains why Oishi was able to
calm him down- being a Feeler he is more used to dealing with
strong emotions.
...
You can tell I think a lot about my OTP, can't you?!

|
|
|
This
was my favourite moment in the whole show. |
Kaidoh
feigns concern as an excuse to touch his sempai's hands
|
|
|
|
|
"First
she rocks up in that dress that I made for my fashion
assignment, and then she monopolises my boyfriend the
whole time and touches him with her girly moisturised arms in
front of the whole team, what does she want to do, impugne
my masculinity..." |
|
|
|
So
after Oishi shuffles the team away to give Inui and Kaidoh some
space... I just... really... hope that one day I get
a boyfriend that nice. *cries* |

The
imagery of this episode is so, SO subtle. There's a crow! Kirihara
MUST be evil!
|
| |
|
| Proof
the Fuji=angel imagery is void... bad boys don't uke |
"I
may have allergies to pollen but I'm still badass!"
|

|
| Fuji
does the Kimeru Sprawl! TM |
|

| |
|
| Sumire's
had plastic surgery as well as breast implants |
Fuji's
old flame rocks up (...in turquoise) |
| |
|
| Kirihara's
cute even when he forgets to use his eye drops |
...and
Yumiko was hot in the 80's! |
| |
|
| This
must be the only fat kid in Japan |
I
think our Lleyton could learn a thing or two from Fuji... |
| |
|
| Oishi
and his "precautionary reasons" again...
(it's because Tachibana's on the scene, isn't it... I can just
imagine Oishi freaking out and setting up a free condom bowl in
the clubhouse..) |
Yukimura
fails to stay away from the light |
