-----------------------

From: Mukahi Gakuto to Oshitari Yuushi
Written in bean paste and stuck with gum to a pillow
Received (Yuushi sat on it)

Read:

Why do I always think of you
Why are you in my head
When half the time I want your pants
And half I want you dead

I don’t believe in sappy stuff
It always makes me gag
But Yuushi, you’re the only one---
Oh fuck this, let’s just shag

From: Inui Sadaharu to Kaidoh Kaoru
Completed with Microsoft Excel (Japanese version) and placed in a pigeon hole
Received, but with some confusion (Inui expresses his love in strange ways)

Kaidoh.

I thought this might interest you.

Inui.

From: Atobe Keigo to Kabaji Munehiro
Sent verbally with an underclassman the day before, photograph attached
Received and returned

Oi, Kabaji. Ore-sama was thinking of giving out copies of this to the team on Valentines day, to keep up team spirits. What do you think?

Ssu.

No? Why not? Ore-sama was slightly concerned about the lighting on ore-sama’s fine cheeks, but the photographer assured me it wasn’t noticeable. Should ore-sama give out the one by the fountain instead?

Uss.

Excellent. Oh, by the way, how are the elocution lessons going?

In terms of improvement regarding my position in the entirety of the local social stratum, quite perfunctory. My dutiful thanks on the matter.

Ore-sama is glad to hear that, Kabaji. Happy Valentines day.

‘Oi, Choutarou. Hey. Ummm, it’s your sempai here. Shishido. Ha ha, yeah… you knew that already…heee.
Um, since it’s that special day and everything, I just wanted to do something for ya, get you a present and all that… I had no idea what you wanted so I thought about how you’re always playing the violin, and in that big orchestra and everything, so I went to the record shop down the road.
I had no idea about classical music but there was a really dorky (but nice) guy there who helped me out a great deal… he told me about all the composers and styles and things, and let me listen to some tracks. I think I got some stuff you might like.
For instance, get this, this guy Borodin? He was a drunk half the time but he actually did some really nice stuff. I thought it might be a bit… maybe over the top for you, so he showed me some others. He said you’d already know Mozart and Beethoven and Bach, so he tried me out on some other guys that aren’t as famous and you know what? Classical music is pretty awesome! Saint-Saens is a good composer, I quite enjoyed the soft timbre of his works, and Albinoni wrote a collection that really sang for a style that was so robust.
Well, that’s what the guy said anyway.
I had to agree though, how come you never told me about classical music, Chota? A whole world I know nothing of… hmm… anyway, so after a couple of hours in the shop I finally got you something. It’s in your locker. I hope you like it, you’ve probably got all the recordings already, but yeah… just in case. Ha ha, I’d better stop now, I don’t want to be rambling on or anything… but… yeah. I’ll see you round, Chota, hope you like your present. Happy Birthday. See ya.

Hey, Kabaji, those are my socks, wha-----’

‘… oh yeah, Atobe just reminded me it’s Valentines day today… um… don’t read too much into the CD cover or anything… ha ha, as if you would… but… just in case. It was the only compilation that had all the good tracks, you know? Um… yeah. That’s all. Just… have a good day, I’ll see you at practise… well, it is practise already but you know… oh just stuff it. See ya. Bye.’
